Sofia Hernandez is a teacher, coach and international educational consultant who specializes in working with children, families and other educators to find a dynamic venture to transform teaching and learning. Her areas of expertise include early childhood development, personalized learning, child-family coaching, behavioral support and special education service coordination.
During her over 15 year in the field of education, Sofia has taught preschool, elementary and secondary education. She has served as a behavior intervention specialist, a service coordinator for private and charter schools, she has been an early childhood program director and has taught multiple levels of exceptional education for the Miami Dade County Public Schools District. In her leadership positions, she has provided teachers and families across South Florida with high-quality tools and professional learning experiences to help children find their talents and achieve their highest potential of educational success.
Sofia is honored to be a University of Miami Masters Graduate, a distinguish educator, a certified exceptional education teacher, specialized in early childhood, autism and bilingual education. As an international consultant, she has guided and relocate her students around the world and has partnered with international organizations to help her students and families access educational and therapeutic services. She has trained family aids, sitters, and educational support to create a unified approach that increases the success and development of her students.
As a parent herself, she recognizes the importance of finding the best for children. Her goal is bringing a new level of high-quality individualized services that support children’s learning and development in a fun, innovated way while creating a community approach that involves research-based practical ways of looking at problems and solving them.

Early interventions is a proactive strategy to occur at or before preschool age. Our services and programs help children gain the basic skills such as, physical skills, thinking skills, communication skills, and socio-emotional skills. Because children’s brain is still forming, meaning it is more “plastic” or changeable than at older ages, treatments and services have a better chance of being long term effective.
Our early interventions services are carefully determined based on a comprehensive, coordinated and team-based evaluation. Individualized child-family intervention plans outline recommended intervention activities, programs and training. All of our services and activities are family centered and linguistically responsive. It bases training and activities on highest quality evidence available to give children the best start possible, but also the best chance of developing to their fullest potential.
Because each child is unique and every family is different, intervention activities and sessions are carefully and systematically planned to provide developmentally appropriate educational activities. We aim to address identified objectives, support caregivers and help families navigate through the community support systems. We believe that the success of our sessions is creating a comprehensive personalized plan of care!
Services are developmentally supportive and promote children’s participation in their natural environments. Therefore, intervention activities can be scheduled in the child’s natural environment, such as home or preschool, in our office, or via web based sessions.
The first consultation is always free. During this ½ hour meeting, you our team representatives will help you determine what kind of evaluation and services your child and family might need. Then, a plan is personalized based on your family needs.
Low student-to-teacher ratio will allow sufficient amounts of 1-on-1 time. individual or small-group instruction is available to meet specific individualized goals.
Our shadowing services support student’s independence and helps children gain new skills in classroom settings. Our staff interacts with teachers and school personnel to support your child’s learning style while participating in the general education curriculum. It offers a possibility for children to receive educational support while attending school.
